Delas Lab at University College London

Rahma Mohamed is a third-year MSci Cell Biology student at UCL with interests in cell and developmental cell biology. She has previously explored the formation of the avian hypoblast as part of the Crick Summer Student Training Programme - you can read about it in The Node!

Her current literature project explores how epigenetic modifications regulate cell fate, with a focus on the role of silencing complexes and chromatin mechanisms in controlling developmental gene expression.

During her fourth-year laboratory project in the Delas Lab, Rahma will further explore these mechanisms and her interests in this area of developmental biology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys walks in nature and museum visits.
